Output audio has no control?

I’ve managed to get audio through HDMI from a Nvidia Card. But it can’t be control from the system. Only from the monitor, which is hard to do it lots of times a day everyday.

Any idea how to get it fix? I’ve heard about Soundflower, tried it but no controls either.
