Hello all.
I am wondering if my logic is correct or if someone can point me in the right direction to a better option.
I am currently on an unknown distro of Sierra. The method I used was the R Drive Image Method with a pre-installed clover boot loader. It seems like a pretty clean distro but, I would really like to just know for sure and have the peace of mind. So, I would like to do a vanilla install. I've done vanilla installs before and know the process quite well. However, I'm curious to know if the following will work or not as I've never done this method before.
Could I:
- Create vanilla Sierra installer
- Re-install vanilla Sierra
- Restore from Time Machine from the distro backup
- Profit???
My goal here is to keep my data, apps and files and achieve vanilla.
Any responses , thoughts, ideas and/or opinions are welcome. Thanks!
