Vanilla 15.1 install, stuck at apfs module start 1683

Hi,

This is my first hackintosh build, so I'm not experienced with it.

I did the vanilla install of 15.1 following this guide:

My hardware is:

  • Gigabyte z370m ds3h
  • Intel i5-8600
  • Sapphire rx580
  • Crucial p100 500gb nvme SSD
  • crucial vengeance ddr4-2400, 16gb

I get "AppleNVME: assertion failed" and stuck at "apfs_module_start: 1683"

Looking up the issue, I found that I might need to setup FakeEC. So I pressed f4 in clover to dump acpi, patched it using ssdttime, and added ssdt-ec.aml (followed this: https://floppyblog.com/common-problems-and-workarounds-in-hackintosh/)

I still can't get past the same error. I followed bios settings I found for other gigabyte z370 motherboards: csm on, fast boot off, vt-d disabled, parallel and serial disabled, xhci handoff enabled, initial boot device pci-e 1
