My current desktop hackintosh setup has been up and running for over four years (currently running Mojave, may upgrade to Catelina soon). I am able to use the onboard ethernet port have been using the IOGear USB Bluetooth adapter (which works just fine, no issues), but I am looking to get native wireless capabilities (hand-off, wireless display, etc...) and I am now looking to get a PCI-E WiFi+Bluetooth adapter.
My main question however is I have seen a bunch WiFi + Bluetooth PCI-E cards floating around Amazon and eBay, and having negative experience with "knock-offs" with various tech, is it possible to know which one is the best to get? I'd prefer something cheap as I am not looking for anything fancy here, I'd prefer it to be genuine and doesn't stop working few weeks in (as I have read in few threads here). The main ones I have seen posted (around various hackintosh communities):
Since I am looking for something cheap, it looks like the two eBay adapters (the Fenvi and BCM94360CS2) should work, however, I am concerned if the Fenvi is a knock-off of the Amazon version? And I am also not sure if the seller of the BCM94360CS2 is legit? Are there other places I should check aside from Amazon and/or eBay? I am in the United States for reference. Preferably anything on the cheaper side would be preferred as I do not use WiFi and really am just looking for native capabilities found in any regular mac.
Any comments or help would be appreciated!
