What a grind!, Here is the steps:
- Installed avlinux on pc; installed vbox into that then used GitHub my spaghetti Mac os guest virualbox script. , I had to remove a few 'exit;' commands from the script as it would not install saying improper virtual box installed.
- Installed Mojave and inside that downloaded the 10.15.3 update , clicked the usb icon on bottom of vbox screen to attached my USB Flash Drive to the vbox so I could issue the command for making USB Installer per vanilla guide.
- Installed Clover Configurator into the vbox, downloaded the z370_EFI.zip for 370 in vanilla guide and only copied kext/other/*, eight kexts in total, and the config. Mounted the EFI using Clover Configurator to move the files into place before loading the newly replaced config residing on the EFI into configurator so one could un-disable/try one of the three EC work-arounds preloaded into the config (but disabled) to start the process of elimination forwhich I got lucky the first attempt. Non-lucky users will result in a frozen installer at verbose screen.
- Booted the installer via USB and entered disk utility after plugging in a dedicated drive. Formatted to Apple Journaled, GUID partition by clicking top left button selecting 'view all hidden devices' to properly format entire drive in Disk Utility.
- Closed out of Utility, Clicked Install on the newly formatted drive leaving my Windows drive in untouched.
- It rebooted and I had to select, Boot Installer from MacOS (insert formatted name here) and not the USB Install Partition to completed the 2nd half of install.
- After installed used the USB Installer to boot into the newly installed Mac OS, installed Clover Configurator which assisted in installing UEFI Only Clover on the Newly Installed drive so I didn't need the USB to boot the drive anymore.
- Everything seems to be working great, by default the HDMI port's colors was funny, but, using a Display Port to HDMI adaptor fixed all that and even sound worked outta the Display Port. A+.
- I then went back into Clover Configurator to generate a serial number and reboot to find iMessage and App Store all working fine. #VictoryIsMine.
Notes: I did these exact same steps on my Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga, although, when trying to boot into the final installation I am presented with a black background and yellow stripes which only displays two lines before freezing. I believe installed via a USB Hub is creating a problem, I will keep playing with that one later and try to make a video on YouTube to document all of this for you guys. I did this without any access to a physical Mac. I did not download any prepared vbox MacOSX as none of them worked for me; Use the GitHub spaghetti script with windows/cgywin if one can not access a linux computer (latest avlinux installer was used as of date 02/08/2020). Best of luck if have any questions ask away!
