How do I launch from my Carbon Copy Cloner external SSD and not the built-in one?

I updated Clover Boot Loader on my default SSD, but now I can't boot Mac and need to edit it's EFI folder. How can I stop it from launching my built-in and instead launch the older version of clover on my external (which I HAVE tested and it works)
