My third Hackintosh. Made the jump to OpenCore and it should have been easier. I didn't pay enough attention to the detail so it took longer. I have to say that the Dortania AMD guides are pretty damn good with the one exception being USB Mapping for AMD. Went to https://aplus.rs/2020/usb-mapping-how/ for USB.
- Mobo: AsRock x570 Phantom Gaming ITX/TB3
- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X
- Display: LG 34UC99-W
- GPU: Radeon RX 580 8GB
- Memory: Corsair 16GB 2133 MHx DDR4
- Startup Disk: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB NVMExpress in M2 slot
- PSU: Corsair 450W Platinum
- Cooling: Several Noctua Case fans. Air cooling only. Generally runs about 45C, cooler than my previous i5 7600K machine.
- Case: Ghost S1
Not working:
- Thunderbolt
- Bluetooth (Using Asus USB plug)
- Wifi ( don't really care cause its connect via Ethernet cable)
Overall, a challenging build, but for the most part, if you follow the guide it'll boot. Then post-install clean-up has taken a while.
Next steps: clean up boot, moving from debug.
