Opencore 7.1 Mac Os 12: had to change CPU and mobo, now stalls in boot. Any help appreciated!

Ok, so I posted before about this issue but I haven't been able to figure it out.

I had to rma my cpu and mobo and since switching I have not been able to boot into MacOs 12.

I temporarily changed to a i7 9700k instead of my previous i9 9900kf.

Opencore bootloader works and I can load windows.

What I've done to fix: - clear and reset nvram - access EFI from Windows and change igpu settings in earlier version of opencore. It didn't work - update to oc 0.7.1 and set igpu correctly. Still stalls during loading

Does anyone have any direction I should be going with this?

Do I need to completely reinstall and perhaps downgrade to Big Sur?

ASus Z390i i7 9700k Samsung Evo 970 pro
