Finally got time to post my success. This is my first and probably will be my last hackintosh I ever built. I used a Mac Pro 5,1 (2010) for many years and became sick of it. I could have invested more time and money into it to be able to wait until the "serious" Apple Silicon Macs will come out but I couldnt take it anymore. I wanted to have a computer that could be easily hold several drives without buying drive cages for several hundreds of euros. I know that Hackintoshes are dead but to be fair this computer is so much faster than my Mac Pro that I can see myself using it for the next 5 years even if Apple decided to stop delivering updates from tomorrow. Its just "fast enough" for the design and photography work I do. I expect the new M1Xs to be as fast or a bit faster as the i9 while using much less power BUT I hate the fact that you cant upgrade or even repair those computers anymore. Thats not only bullshit in terms of user friendliness but also bad for the environment. Reusing parts is essential for me, and depending how the future of Mac and macos will be, I will try to save enough money to afford the "most upgradable" Mac thats available. Even if it will cost me 6k.

But I have to buy something NOW since I want to become a freelancer. Thats why I made this decision in the worst possible moment.

Here are my specs and the money I have paid for it (Case and Graphics Card prices were used prices)

BIOS revision: Have to look that up

Which of the guides on the sidebar you used

Basically read the Open Core Guide and built and EFI Folder from scratch and checked some of the prebuilt EFIs on Github that used the _same_ hardware. I spend a full day assambling the parts and then installing MacOS Big Sur. I had some problems running the installer at first, but most of the issues were related to BIOS settings. I followed the guide of ST33Z0 and his settings worked perfectly (https://github.com/5T33Z0/Gigabyte-Z490-Vision-G-Hackintosh-OpenCore)

What's working, and what isn't working.

Everything thats important to me works beside Ethernet. I have read some guides that fixed this with this motherboard but I havent had time yet. I am fine with wifi only.

Netflix seems to have some problems at 1080p but I stopped using it. Currently I am not willing to invest any time into it but maybe somebody can help me out with this.

iMessage, Airdrop, Sleep, iCloud, Unlock with Apple Watch all work perfectly.

I installed Windows on a second m.2 SSD.

Any Questions? Feel free to ask!
