I'm blown away by how well this works.
Just loaded Big Sur (didn't want to push my luck) onto a MacBook5,1 (with SSD and maxed out RAM) and it is totally useable for web browsing etc.
This is almost the earliest generation of machines that OCLP support and this 15 year old machine is completely functional and useful again now I can install modern supported web browsers etc.
Conversely it sucks that perfectly capable hardware can be officially rendered obsolete and useless by the manufacturers.
