I want to build a desktop that can chew through photo/video editing. I just feel like I can get more bang per buck going this route rather than buying a $2k MacBook that will be limited by the thermal capacity anyway.
My question is simple: what are the hardware bits required for the easiest assembly? What motherboard, ram, air cards, video cards etc.. I don’t want to get the hardware and try to make it work. I’d rather get the hardware that has always worked.
