Have to keep pairing bluetooth mouse and keyboard whenever I boot into Mac or Windows

I recently built a new computer and Windows/Sonoma working fine but bt mouse/keyboard is frustrating me. Everytime I boot into each OS, respectively, I have to repair both the bt mouse/keyboard. I have another previous hackintosh also on latest windows/mac OS and bt mouse/keyboard work when switching OS and even on picker screen (a different set of keyboard/mouse). Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
