Almost as smooth as 2013 iMac. Early 2011, 13.3 inch. 16g and 500 ssd.
Boots almost as fast, login as quick (maybe one sec slower), launch of apps is super quick (again maybe 1sec slower then iMac) and sometimes the occasional beachball when system just started up.
Once the app is run however, new window of safari is instant.
Maps seems to be not working Siri not working (I get a response very late and now output on screen) Click to reveal desktop not working Payment cards not working but they also don’t work on iMac. Bluetooth I had to do a nvram reset to get it working again. The dynamic screensaver work but are obviously not very fast.
It does get hot and spins up the fans but not as much as you would think and I seem to remember it did that with high sierra as well. Time to change the thermal paste maybe.
Anyway, not unhappy with this. The battery in the MacBook doesn’t last super long and it’s quite a heavy beast but other than that…
