Could not having a battery be the cause of OCLP installer being stuck?

I am using OCLP version 1.3.0 to install Sonoma 14.3.1 on a Macbook pro 13 early 2015 running Monterey 12.6.7. This Macbook is without a battery and I am trying to install OCLP for the "Disable Firmware Throttling" feature to get stop the CPU from throttling. So far, the problem I am facing is that after selecting boot from EFI option, the install Sonoma option and the progress bar appears which always get stuck at around 1/5. It can't even boot into recovery menu for installing. Could not having a battery be the cause of OCLP installer being stuck? What is going on?
