Definitely Turn OFF Auto Updates

I have OCLP on MBP mid 2010 15" Ventura 13.6 for a few months now and works perfectly. I did turn off all automtic updates except for check for updates. Now a month ago I installed OCLP Sonoma 14.4.1 on a MBP mid 2014 Retina 15" and again installed and has run perfectly. Well, I forgot to uncheck the download updates. BIG MISTAKE... BIG... BIG. It downloaded yesterday and when I booted up today my 2014 is crawling and freezing.

I checked and although it shows Ventura 14.5 downloaded and need to restart to install I uncheck the 14.5 but it was futile. I tried resetting SMC, PRAM, and even booting into safe mode to no avail. It then got the point I received the spinning circle of death once I login.

Thankfully I had the older SSD and swapped to access needed files through external case. So I guess I will be reinstall 14.4.1 later today. Make sure you uncheck all updates.
