I have done this once, but I tried so many options to finally succeed I haven't a clue what worked. Evidently you cannot just Disk Utility a USB that has OCLP installer on it and trying to reinstall Sonoma 4.4.1 is to old for my current MBP. So I am again trying to erase everything and start over.
It appears you have to unmount, then secure erase to remove everything from previous USB. I used the tips from MacRumors last time but I have missed something.
It really seems odd it is so difficult to wipe s USB.
