I've previously been running macOS Monterey via Martin Lo's brilliant pre-built OpenCore setup, and using the included customMemory flag, I can run 256GB RAM using 8x32GB DIMMs.
I'm keen to get onto Ventura, however Martin Lo's build doesn't support it so I need to use OCLP instead - which is great, however it doesn't seem to allow for the same 256GB RAM trick.
I've tried adding the customMemory section to the config.plist, and while it doesn't brick the EFI, it also doesn't accomplish anything (32GB DIMMs just make macOS hang on boot). Is there another kext/file that needs to go into the EFI directory alongside the customMemory section in the config.plist to get it to work?
