| | Dear colleagues, I have little experience with OpenCore Legacy Patcher, but I think it is admirable. I used it on a 2014 MacBook Pro, to install a more recent Mac OS and it was a complete success. However, when I did this on an old 2011 iMac, I was surprised by one of the results: This iMac originally has a Core i7 3.4GHz Quad-Core processor. My concern is that OpenCore Legacy Patcher has reduced the performance of this machine, despite it having a better-performing processor than the one shown. It is obvious that the machine continues to have the same physical processor, there is no magic or alchemy! Has anyone had the same problem? Does anyone have any idea of the impact this might cause? What is the solution to make the machine display the correct processor again? (I should point out that I have already removed Sequoia, installed Ventura and then Sequoia again, using the OpenCore Legacy Patcher, but since the first installation, the processor continues to be displayed as a Core i5 3.1GHz Quad-Core). Thank you all !!!!! [link] [comments] |
