Macpro3,1 - Opencore 2.4.0 - Sequoia update without USB hub

Hi! Sorry if the answer is somewhere, i just couldn't find it.

I want to update my 2008 Macpro3,1 one last time to the latest Sequoia version from Monterey. This machine is still powerful enough for my purpose.

I have disconnected the Bluetooth board as adviced. But i have read about the USB 1.1 bus problem. Github says i need a self powered USB 2.0 hub so i can use my keyboard and mouse during the installation.

On another hand, i have heard in a Mr Macinthosh video (can't find which one. again), that some keyboards will still work during installation process. How can I know if my keyboard will work. Currently in the system report, my keyboard and mouse are shown connected to the 2.0 bus. Is this a hint that it might the same during the installation, or not at all?

I have to be extra careful with money at the moment, so i'd like to avoid buying extra hardware that I will use only once.

Thanks for any help!
