MBP 13 inch 2016 shuts down randomly after OCLP installed successfully

I have a MacBook Pro 13inch 2016 (T1 Chip, 2.9 dual core intel i5, 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, Intel Iris Graphics 550 1536 MB).

I had OCLP (Sequoia 15.5) working ok generally, did the post install so no USB needed, wifi is working and generally great (thanks oclp devs). but I noticed a couple of things:

  1. when I close the monitor, the next time I open it will do a RESTART and not waking up from sleep. (slow boot - apple logo with progress bar) and it will tell me when it loads up that we had an error and would you like to restore previous session windows.
  2. just the other day, it just went dead on me (no charger use), the battery was still around 60%, unable to reboot until I charge it fully.

Is this a power management issue that I can fix? or is it because maybe the battery needs replacement (it is showing that it needs service)?

  1. How can I check the log of what actually had happened with those shut downs and what error may trigger the unexpected shut down of the machine.

Help is appreciated.
