I feel like this post was needed.
I looked in a decent amount in this subreddit and while people have talked about it, no one has truly said how it is.
Yes, it does work fine but there are some losses.
- You can't screen mirror (with touch), but continuity camera works fine.
--> It is a bit iffy sometimes.
- It actually runs pretty smooth, but there is a dip in battery life.
- I haven't tested this on the i5 Macbook Air, but i do have one so i'm planning to test it out.
IMPORTANT TIP: if you don't have a usb and you install it from terminal and EFI BOOT, it might fuck itself and not want to update / boot into home
FIX: when booting (after installing and seeing it not run) run it in safe mode. Then you can reapply the root patches.
If you have a USB I'd recommend you just do it that way, save yourself the time.
So the question is does sequoia work on a macbook air 2017?
Yes. I'd recommend this especially if you have a i7/i9.
