I finally got around to reformatting my old Clevo laptop with an i7 4800MQ and installed OpenCore Big Sur on it. The GeForce GTX870 6GB has been disabled for now.
There is still a lot to do, but the biggest issue that I am currently facing is that my GUI is scrambled but my mouse cursor looks fine. The issue gets solved when the system goes to sleep and wakes up again.
The Intel Graphics HD4600 gets detected correctly and hardware acceleration is working fine. It's just this one big-little thing (for now). Currently I've set up a sleep-shortcut to quickly get in to the system, but that is all but user friendly.
Where have I gone wrong?
