Is there a way to use the boot camp HFS+ drivers at the moment? Also yet another warning about Paragon HFS+

Hey! So I have been using Paragon HFS+ for quite some time and overall it have worked well. I had pushed back the windows creators update for ages as I don't like being force to upgrade to something that reportedly had tons of issues. Eventually Windows updated itself while I was sleeping, and not long after my Sierra drive was corrupted. A TimeMachine backup got everything up and running in no time. Two months later and I faced a similar thing where nothing could repair the drive. Obviously the drive was failing, right?

Got a new drive today to replace it and everything is back up and running, but initially it would not show up in windows through paragon. While googling for this issue I found a bunch of threads with the same errors that I had both time the macOS drive bummed out and they were all blaming Paragon drivers. So potentially I bought a new drive without needing to, but obviously I am feeling quite done with Paragon.

After tons of googling I can't seem to find a way to make Paragon be only read only, and that is all I want to do, drag some files over to windows to continue working.

So the old bootcamp drivers worked wonders before, but since Win 10 they are not working at all (which is why I went with Paragon). But I did stumble on a thread with someone claiming the Win8 bootcamp hfs+ drivers were working with some kind of registry hack.

Therefore I am asking - is there a way to make the bootcamp hfs+ drivers work? Or any other good way to get read only acces to my hfs+ drives? I know I can do exFat but I also have some huge disks full of audio samples that I need to access on both and unfortunately they are on hfs drives already and I have nowhere to park the data to reformat them as exFat.

Thanks!
