Updated my copy of Capitan and having the no sound issue. I tried this guide:

but it didn't work. I think the problem is related to a "VoodooHDA.kext" file since I've been getting this message on startup for a while now:
The system extension “/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext” was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product’s vendor for an update.
and Voodoo is mentioned in the guide. Any pointers here?
