I'm going through corpnewt's super useful vanilla install guide (thanks, corpnewt!).
But there seem to be some incorrect settings in the Coffee Lake pre-filled config.plist that is provided in the tutorial.
1) Why is FixTMR enabled under DSDT / Fixes? According to the Clover wiki, this setting "Excludes IRQ(8) from TMR device. This is an ancient DOS device and is not needed in modern computers."
2) Why is KernelPm enabled (Kernel and Kext Patches)? According to the wiki this is only for Haswell chips: "Kernel power management patch for Haswell with locked msrs. Works with 10.8.5 and 10.9 kernels."
3) Don't Coffee Lake CPUs under High Sierra need the following two additional DSDT patches?
change XHCI to XHC: 58484349 > 5848435F
change XHC1 to XHC: 58484331 > 5848435F
