Im not super duper familar with all the hardware components but this is the computer: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-NUC8-Core-Gaming-BOXNUC8i7HNK1/dp/B07BR3HCZ3 I already have a xiaominotebook pro up and running but have tried unibeast with this nuc and couldnt recognize the hard drive. I have followed the vanilla Intel guide to the best of my ability but I cant get to the installation screen. After clicking install from cloverbootloader the text becomes garbled. It might be related to my EVO 860 M2 Samsung disks. I have also updated their firmware and have tried swapping to a non-nvme disks. Here are a couple notes and thoughts I had when trying vanilla install:
1.) Im not super familar with github and sometimes I dont see a download button in upper right. So for clover installer I only downloaded the .pkg file, but installation was successful.
2.) The virtualSMC had many other kexts (SMCBatteryManager, SMC light sensor etc). I have tried installing just virtualSMC into kext folder in clover and tried with the other SMCs, both failed.
3.) If I try to reinstall clover then all of the UEFI drivers are still checked and say upgrade except for APFSdriverloader. this one is unchecked and maybe isnt being installed correctly?
4.I've tried the default clover config as well as the one specific to KalbyLake (using the config on github). Ive also tried manually editing the XML myself but maybe I did that wrong, but none of those three tries worked.
Ive been banging my head against a wall for days on this. Any help is so appreciated.
