Is the Thinkpad T450 and X250 Wifi Card whitelist still present?

I want to install MacOS Mojave on my cousin’s laptop, he has a Thinkpad X250 lying arround and I was looking before I buy a compatible WIFI Card (for continuity), if it has a BIOS whitelist. Can any X250 owner confirm about the BIOS Whitelist being removed? Or is it still present?
