New hackintosh advice

hey folks,

so i've been in the hackintosh game since X79 days. I've been thinking about upgrading from my current rig, an aging X79 machine. My friend is offering to sell me a PC with an i7-6800k, GTX 1080, 32GB of RAM and an Asus x99 motherboard.

I'm wondering if i should purchase it ( the price would be very fair), or build a new i9/x299 build from scratch? A lot of my builds were based on SSDTs made by rampagedev, which is why i've been sticking to X99/X79. I recently went through this guide:

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-extend-the-imac-pro-to-x99-successful-build-extended-guide.227001/

Which helped fix most of my issues. essentially, i have the 6800k build up and running, its just a question of pulling the trigger.

Another thought I had was upgrading the cpu to 8th generation intel on my friend's rig, but I'd like to keep the higher amount of PCI-E lanes the earlier chips have. Can anyone offer some input or experience? I will use the computer for Adobe Premiere/After Effects/Davinci Resolve/ Avid Media composer. Thanks.
