[Question] No USB on Mojave, GA-Z97-HD3

I did a standard install, created a USB install drive, installed clover, got ethernet working, but whenever I plug certain usb devices in, I get "Accessory needs power". My mouse, keyboard and USB audio adapter works fine (plugged into the ports on the back of the computer). I also have a Lightning cable for my iPhone plugged in the same group of ports. When I plug my phone in I get the "accessory needs power message." I have tried (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/customac-desktop-usb-fixes-10-11-reference.179201/) for the 7/8/9 Series. using Kext Installer, and all different USB options in multibeast with the same results. Id really appreciate any information.
