i7-4790K with MSI Z97 pc mate board and MSI GT 710 gpu

just wanted to post my successful build and say thanks. I used the vanilla install from the recommended guide to install Catalina. Everything that I care about (basic functionality + ethernet + sound + imessage) works, even sleep+wake! More or less I followed the vanilla guide and used fairly generic kexts recommended in the guide, except I also used voodooTSCSync.kext and the fixdisplay patch to remedy a sleep/wake issue, and a custom usbmap kext with the usbmap tool. I used the vanilla guide's haswell config.plist and imac14,2 SMBIOS.

Happy to entertain questions. I wrote up my process/guide sources on gitbook if anyone is interested; this was more for myself because I know that I will forget after today and will need to recall all the details at some point)

future: upgrade to some radeon rx 500 series card to get two DVI-D ports, overclock my cpu (does anyone have a good guide?) for more powaaa, and enable trim (for some reason trim doesn't stay on after trimforce enable. does anyone have any ideas?).
