Need help with USB 3.x not recognized

Having issues with USB 3.x running conflicted with my bluetooth power. When I input the 'said' patches (in link below), my Fenvi bluetooth won't operate. So either I have bluetooth (for handoff) or USB 3.x access. Realize the 15 USB port limits on my motherboard but can't figure out why it would turn off the bluetooth card. Won't recognize USB 3.x despite using USB-C or the 3.0 and 3.1 ports. Everything shows as USB 2.0 Hub in Systems Report
