Using someone else's EFI folder, unsure what modifications I need to make

Hello, this is my 7th time trying to Hackintosh my laptop and I think I need help at this point lol.

Laptop: Lenovo Ideapad 320-ISK

EFI I Found on Github: https://github.com/gajjartejas/Lenovo-Ideapad-320-15ISK-14ISK-Laptop-Hackintosh

MacOS Version: Trying to Install Catalina

The Steps I've Followed:

1. The guide on the GitHub links to the Dortania guide, I followed it to create the bootable USB and downloaded the Catalina image.
2. Now, I downloaded the latest OpenCore EFI Release version.
3. Downloaded the EFI folder for my laptop (from the GitHub linked above). I downloaded an old version from 2020 that was originally for Catalina
4. Added SMBios, UDID, etc using GenSMBios
5. Copied and merged the EFI folder for my laptop with the OpenCore EFI folder, copied it to the drive

Now it's currently installing which is the furthest I've ever come. But I am still not fully sure if it will work.

My main question is if I was supposed to do Step 5 and if I missed something else
