Seeking help (late 2013 MBP)

First-time poster (bear with me here) but I ran into some difficulty in my install and hoping to get suggestions on what to do.

Instead of buying a new MacBook for the Memorial Day sales, I was convinced to update my 2013 MBP to Sonoma for the time being. Followed a tutorial and the install (1.3.0) was running beautifully until I hit one of the reboot loads. It’s been sitting at the half-way mark for nearly 5 hours now and I can’t imagine it’ll make any further progress. What should I do in this situation?
