Out of all 100+ machines I’ve patched with OCLP, Monterey has been by far the smoothest, especially on the 2010-2012 models. A few tweaks really make these old Macs feel alive:
With these tweaks - and of course SSDs in place - this 14-year-old iMac is fast, quiet, and handles daily work, media, and light creative tasks without issues. Honestly, no need to spend hundreds on a new Mac if your workflow is fairly standard. Big hats off to the OCLP team. You guys are legends.
