I have a Mac Pro 5,1 and I've been using Monterey which has definitely been the most stable unsupported system I've used so far. I noticed some plugins require at least Ventura so I've been thinking about updating. I would prefer to update the system rather than do a clean install. My 5,1 has EnableGOP so I don't need to mess with the GPU. I was wondering if it's still recommend to use a supported system like Mojave when I create a bootable USB installer. That's been my process before my 5,1 had a boot screen. Mac Sound Solutions said you can update your system without using a USB installer using OCLP which I'm very skeptical about. I tried that once and that didn't work. I would appreciate any suggestions with this subject before I attempt the update
