MacBook Air 6,2 (2014, 8GB RAM, Samsung 980 NVMe) – Update Sequoia 15.7.3 → 15.7.4? Worth it?

Hi everyone,

I’m running macOS Sequoia 15.7.3 via OCLP 2.4.1 on:

  • MacBook Air 13" 2014 (MacBookAir6,2)
  • i5-4260U (2c/4t)
  • 8GB RAM
  • Samsung 980 500GB NVMe (with adapter)
  • PTM7950 on CPU

System is running surprisingly well.
Brave feels smooth, temps under normal use are ~65–75°C, under load up to ~85–90°C (short bursts).

Now 15.7.4 is available.

Questions:

  1. Is 15.7.4 stable on Air 6,2 with OCLP?
  2. Any performance regression compared to 15.7.3?
  3. Do I need to rebuild OpenCore or just reapply Post-Install Root Patch?
  4. Any known issues (Wi-Fi, graphics acceleration, sleep, NVMe, etc.)?

Since this machine is my daily lightweight browsing device, I prefer stability over small security patches unless it’s worth it.

Would you update, or freeze on 15.7.3?

Thanks!
