Hi everyone, I'm new to OCLP, so I'm seeking some advice. I love the idea of upgrading the software to extend my computer's life. Lately, I've noticed that my SSD's health is dropping, currently reaching 83%, so I'm thinking of replacing it. I'm a total beginner regarding these matters, so I'll be watching tutorials, but here are my questions:
- Do Ventura, Sonoma, or Sequoia actually run smoothly on a 2014 MacBook with 16GB of RAM and a 2.5GHz CPU, or does it become laggy? Is the temperature increase manageable by changing the thermal paste, cleaning, and "forcing" the fans? Is the UI performance better on Ventura compared to Sonoma/Sequoia on this specific Intel Iris Pro/NVIDIA chip?
- Has anyone used OCLP after upgrading the SSD? Are there any compatibility problems? I think I've read somewhere that it doesn't work well with OWC SSDs; can you suggest other brands and models?
