OpenCore Legacy on 2019 MacBook Pro 15” — worth it or risky?

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro 15”.

I’m thinking about using OpenCore Legacy Patcher and wanted to ask:

• Any performance or battery life impact? • Stability issues or broken features? • Real risk of bricking the machine? • Better to stay on the last officially supported macOS? 

Any experiences or advice welcome.
