I currently have a Mid 2009 MacBook Air with the following specs: 1.86 gHZ Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 SDRAM,120 GB Toshiba SSD and a 13'' screen. I've been toying around with the idea of getting rid of the MBA and replacing it with a x220. On paper it seems like the x220 would be an upgrade, especially given it's ability to increase RAM, SSD, etc.
The laptop would be used as a daily driver at work mainly being used for Internet browsing (via wifi) word processing, excel and email, so nothing crazy. This would be my first Hackintosh, but I'm confident I can follow one of the many guides available. Would this be a worthwhile "upgrade"? Is the x220 going to feel like a giant brick coming from the MBA? Can the x220 be used as a light duty daily driver? Any and all input is greatly appreciated, thanks!
