I dropped in a Gigabyte board. Now I can have dual displays connected during boot using the same Pascal card as before. Same everything actually including EFI, (both boards had Intel Ethernet and 1220A audio). Windows won't let me activate though. Oh well.
BIOS settings are the same as far as disabling IGPU. I am missing a 2nd NVME slot and some TUF armor but this actually works better and was $100 less. Fuck ASUS! I wonder if HDMI audio will work with the SSDT now?
It actually got a cleaning too.
Kind of happy now.
