So I need to use an internal sata optical drive in this build. I'm using iMac14,2 as it's the most compatible with my hardware (nvidia gt 710 and 6600k on z270) but that model iMac doesn't have an optical drive and so this hackintosh doesn't want to use my internal optical properly. While the drive does seem to appear in disk utility, it doesn't work. When I close the trey empty it thinks I put in a CD-R... When I put ANY format of disc into the try and close it, NOTHING mounts. So I tried an external USB optical drive and it works instantly.
