10.11 booted fine last week, now gets stuck after Bluetooth.

Specs: Gagabyte h87n-wifi Core i5 3590 2x4 gb Samsung ddr3 Gtx780 Intel 60gb ssd

So here's the setup, I'm running 10.11 and it has worked intermittently on this board for some time. Recently, I swapped my gtx 970 out for an older 780. I booted and got to where the Bluetooth initializes but it never loads the gui.

When this happened after I swapped the 780, I removed the Nvidia web drivers and the system booted fine. I tested sleep maybe 4-5 times, unplugged for a day, plugged it back in and it worked fine.

So fast forward, I had the pc in sleep for a while and decided to reboot. After the reboot, it got stuck before the gui loaded, similar to when I swapped graphics. I tried changing some of the boot flags but still can't get the thing to boot on its own. - x didn't seem to help, nor did clearing cache or boot without injection.

I can however boot with a USB installer and Nvidia disabled. I haven't tested booting from the ssd with Nvidia disabled yet, but can. In the past, booting with Nvidia disabled will work but graphics acceleration is broken (obviously).. When this would happened, I would simply reinstall clover and it would work fine for a few months.

Does any one know why it's doing this? Why would reinstalling clover do the trick (haven't tried clover reinstall this time yet)?

Let me know if I forgot any info!
