I have had a hackintosh for many years, now on El Capitan. Decent i7, 980ti, 32GB of RAM, dual booting config with Clover. It was set up using Unibeast and Multibeast.
I think I read something recently about setting up a hackintosh in a purer way, maybe now possible with Clover (which wasn’t the boot loader I started with, wasn’t available then I think). What are the pros and cons of this method?
The only weaknesses of my hackintosh are that I always hesitated updating the OS because it’s my main video editing machine and I wanted it to be stable, never felt confident it would be seamless even for minor versions. I never got iMessage working even after reading the multiple threads on tonymac86.
Is upgrading the os an easier thing with this new method?
What about iMessage, is there a new easy solution to get it done?
