Chameleon boot loader not working

Hey everyone, so my hack has been my main desktop for years now. Last week I had issues booting after repairing permissions (it would just sit at the spinning circle/Apple logo screen for an eternity). After trying to fix it any way I could with what little I had, including resetting my bios (my motherboard craps out and forgets it’s bios on me a lot) I now get a GPT boot0 error and never even see the chameleon screen during boot.

Sadly I just moved across the country in a small car so I had to part with a lot of stuff which happens to have (apparently) included my emergency boot dvd!

So I have another old pc running Linux and I’m wondering if anyone knows how in the hell I can build a chameleon USB key from within Linux so I can try and get my damn computer back up?

I spent a few hours searching around on google and stuff and so far haven’t found anything that I could make work, which is frustrating. Of course I wish I had access to another Mac for a few minutes as this wouldn’t be an issue. But alas, I do not.

Does anyone have any ideas? I am desperate here!

EDIT: I am still running Mavericks (I believe maybe 11.5? I cant look). I had the computer in storage for like 2 years and have been using it again the past 6 mo without issue but have yet to upgrade.
