Anyone been successful running High Sierra on an older build of a Q77 or Z77 motherboard?

I had a stable Q77 based 10.11 computer running for the past couple years until updates and two factor authentication has broken a lot of things in the system sync’ing with iCloud. So I figured it was time to upgrade to 10.13.

I got the iBoot stick loaded, plugged in, booted the first time to the new iBoot 8.1 and the installer started up. It ran thru and began, started in the installer then went thru it’s first restart and freaked out!

So it wouldn’t restart from the USB stick, just froze on the splash screen and wouldn’t do anything. So stupid me, I decided to start tweaking with the BIOS settings. Now I cannot get anything to load, nothing to boot other than just clover. Tweaking BIOS was dumb! Especially since full working BIOS settings for this old board aren’t found really anywhere!

Clover/iBoot shows four options at boot.... the external USB drive with 10.13, second is the internal drive with 10.13?, third is 10.11 internal drive and fourth is the recovery partition. None will boot, all will lock up. The USB loads with a white Apple logo and black screen then fails with a crossed out circle. The internal drive partition and just reboot to the splash screen and then lock up when it tries to reboot.

Anyone have any ideas? Or successful builds with the Q77 running either Sierra or High Sierra???
