I’ve been running macOS since Mavericks on this build(except for graphics card which I upgraded) and there hasn’t ever been an issue such as this which I’ve experienced or been able to find. Originally when I upgraded from Sierra to HS, I could only boot with safe mode. Attempting to boot normally would leave me with the normal boot bar and one of those loading circles beneath that which froze, kept frozen in that image and then seemed to carry on turning again while having an after image of that. This annoyed me to no end and I regrettably decided to take a break from macOS. Today I decided I’d try again from a clean install with a new installer USB and the same issue persists with the installer USB now, I’ve tried booting in safe mode, tried various arguments which used to work but don’t anymore, and tried fixing ownership and usb injection but nothing has made any difference. Tomorrow I’m going to try set up Lilu and Nvidiagraphicsfix on the installer USB to see if this can solve the issue but if anyone could perhaps offer a word of enlightenment it would be greatly appreciated.
