So I followed this guide

I have basically the same laptop except I have the I3 version instead. Everything was working for a good few weeks. However one day I turn it on and the screen is just super dim. Graphics over HDMI still work but otherwise the laptop display is basically unusable. Does anyone know what would of caused it to suddenly stop working and how I would go about fixing it?
