AMD Video Card Question

Hey all, I've been running Nvidia cards for years, but my last two 1080ti cards have been nothing but trouble. The first one just quit working, and my current one suffers from massive screen tearing and crashes anytime I try to run anything on it instead of the CPU (in both macOS 10.13 and Windows 10).

I have an Asus X99 Pro USB 3.1 MB running an i7-5930K and 64GB of RAM. I'm using the Mac Pro 6,1 system definition and have 2 Dell 4K monitors.

I'm thinking about switching to an AMD video card, and I've never run one before on a Hackintosh. I know Apple just added native support for a whole slew of new ones, so I was wondering if it's easier now to run AMD vs Nvidia. I mainly do graphics and video work, and use the Adobe suite for everything. I've been using Nvidia for CUDA support, but honestly in macOS my 1080ti doesn't seem to be faster than the Radeon 560 built in to my MBP.

Do I need to do anything specific to use an AMD card if I don't have an iGPU? Also, regarding specific cards, my budget would be around $1200. For video rendering and graphics, would I be better off purchasing a Vega FE, or would dual WX 7100 cards be more powerful?
