With how well AMD is running on macOS nowadays I am looking to give AMD a go for the first time. This card will be going in a SFF build. I currently have a Dan A4 case that is being upgraded to a Louqe Ghost once it's released. That being said, Vega 64/FE is out of the question because I'm forced into a 600W PSU. Other components include: Asus Z370 ITX, 8700K, 16GB RAM, Corsair 600W SFX PSU.
I am having a horrible time deciding whether I should go Vega 56 or a Sapphire RX 580 Nitro Special Edition. I am a freelance product/industrial designer and will mostly be using it for creative workflow: Adobe PS, AI, InDesign/AutoDesk Sketchbook etc. I do not do anything with video. I have a Win PC that I use for 3D Modeling/Rendering that is a beast but that being said if required I may do some light 3D modeling on Mac if I need to from time to time.
Some of the best prices for used cards never mined with are $500 for a Sapphire and I found an open-box Sapphire Nitro+RX 580 Special Edition for $300. If anyone has any experience with these cards and can offer up some advice, I'm all ears...
