Brightness not working on X220

I turned my x220 into a hackintosh over a year ago using the mcdonnelltech guide and it worked fine. However, a week ago it stopped being able to boot into macos and I ended up erasing the hard drive. After booting to a fresh macos Sierra 10.12.6 everything worked except sound. I repeated steps 25-31 on the guide which fixed the sound issue but now the brightness slider no longer works. Its not a tablet model (tried removing AppleBacklightInjector anyways) and IntelBacklight isn't anywhere. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
